My laptop camera has stopped working

1. Press Windows key + X and select device manager. 

2. Expand the "Cameras" tab. 

3. Right click on the driver and uninstall it. 

4. Click uninstall in the windows that will pop up after. 

5. Do not check the box to delete driver software if the option displays. 

6. Once uninstalled, restart the laptop. Windows automatically reinstalls the driver on restart.


Common Software Issues

My Read & Write is not activated properly

1. Log into your R&W account

2. Once the application is running, click on the "Information" button on the Read&Write toolbar and go to "About Read&Write".

3. In the "Enter Product Code" box, please enter your activation code and click the "Activate" button.


Grammarly is asking me to pay a premium

This issue typically occurs if you have created two or more accounts with Grammarly and you log into the Grammarly Free account instead of the Premium one.

How can I install Office 365?

If you have been allocated an Office 365 account via your university, please go to this link and follow the instructions: Free Microsoft Office 365 for Schools & Students | Microsoft Education


Can I move my assistive software to a new laptop? 

If you have a new laptop and want to transfer your assistive software to it, you'll need to download the software again from the company websites. Make sure you have your activation codes handy so you can reactivate the software after installing it on your new device.


Can I install Dragon Naturally Speaking on another laptop? 

You are only allowed 1 Dragon Naturally Speaking license per machine. 

If you receive a new machine, you will have to contact the Nuance Technical Support Team to get the license changed over to your new machine. You will need to provide proof of purchase from Concept Northern.
