What is covered under the Concept Northern Warranty?

It is important that you take regular back-ups of the data on your laptop. In cases such as a hard disc failure, we will have to reformat it back to the original set-up, therefore, regular back-ups are crucial.
What are my responsibilities?
- 1) Reading and Understanding the Warranty Terms: It is your responsibility to carefully read and comprehend the terms and conditions outlined in the warranty documentation. This includes understanding the coverage period, limitations, exclusions, and any specific requirements for maintaining the warranty's validity.
- 2) Backing up your data: Please ensure back-ups are done regularly and definitely before the PC leaves your possession, as Concept Northern is not responsible for saving and backing any of your files. They will not be held responsible for any loss of files incurred due to a fault and subsequent repair.
- 3) Providing Proof of Purchase: You are responsible for retaining and providing proof of purchase, such as a receipt or invoice, when making a warranty claim. This documentation serves as evidence of your ownership and helps validate your claim.
- 4) Reporting Issues in a Timely Manner: If you encounter any problems or defects with the product covered by the warranty, it is your responsibility to report them promptly. Most warranties have specific timeframes within which you must notify the seller or manufacturer of the issue. Delayed reporting may result in the denial of your claim, so it's crucial to act promptly.
- 5) Cooperating with the Warranty Claim Process: When making a warranty claim, you are responsible for cooperating with the seller or manufacturer's claim process. This may involve providing detailed information about the issue, completing claim forms, submitting supporting documents, or returning the product for inspection or repair. Timely and accurate cooperation will help facilitate a smoother claim resolution.
- 6) Paying for Non-Warranty Repairs or Services: It's important to note that warranties typically cover specific defects or malfunctions within a defined period. If the issue falls outside the warranty coverage or is caused by misuse or negligence, you are responsible for the costs associated with repair, replacement, or additional services.
- 7) Maintaining Communication Channels: You have a responsibility to maintain open lines of communication with the seller or manufacturer throughout the warranty period. This includes promptly responding to their inquiries, providing accurate information, and keeping them informed of any changes or developments related to the warranty claim.
- 8) Being Available: It is your responsibility to be available on the day of your FedEx collection. Please be aware we cannot provide you with a time range as we are not given a time slot for your collection.
By understanding and fulfilling your responsibilities, you can effectively navigate the warranty process and maximize the benefits of your warranty coverage. Remember to carefully review the warranty terms, comply with the requirements, and promptly report any issues to ensure a seamless experience.

Laptop batteries are NOT covered by our warranty cover.
Once you purchase a laptop with us it may have up to 1 Years Manufacturer’s Warranty (subject to misuse). If the battery needs to be replaced within this time period, it may be valid for a free replacement. Please note: This is from the date that is included on your invoice.
If it is after 1 Year, the manufacturer will not cover this and a new battery will be chargeable.
Please contact us for the manufacturer’s details. You can then contact them directly or we can do this on your behalf if you wish.
Please note: Should you decide to purchase a replacement battery, it must be a genuine manufacturer replacement. If a replacement is bought and it is not a genuine manufacturer’s product, this will null and void your maintenance with Concept Northern. Concept Northern also does not recommend the use of universal power adapters.
